Tips & Tricks

Eliminate friction build up on your boat lift by using ball bearing pulleys. (Pulleys are also commonly referred to as blocks.) If the pulleys on your lift are not ball bearing, then you are adding unnecessary friction to your boat lift. Changing your pulleys is easy and will enhance the overall performance of your boat lift. Try our 3" blocks (Part # 700027).

Hoists for Freestanding Lifts

When you choose boat hoists, a few factors need to be taken into consideration, like the length and weight of the boat. It is sensible to choose boat hoists that are stronger than just the minimum requirements for your peace of mind. Many boat enthusiasts make the mistake of just using the listed boat weight, without considering the extras on board when choosing boat hoists, which as a result, are not powerful enough to cope with the complete weight. This will cause extra wear on bearings and gearboxes, and you have the danger of doing damage to your boat as well. At Boat Hoist USA, we offer a variety of hoists including flat plate hoists, PWC hoists, Worm Gear Reducers and Hoists for Freestanding Boat Lifts. Please choose from one of the options below.
